The Muir Trail Jacket crafted in England
This light-weight, short-length, waterproof mens jacket features four large cargo pockets with the Canty Bay logo on the bottom left pocket. The pockets have stud fasteners for ease of use in cold weather It's designed as an all day jacket using water resistant 235g waxed cotton from the famous Halley stevensons of Dundee.
The zip jacket has a storm flap behind the zip to prevent the wind coming through, is has an adjustable hood with pull cords for peak protection on stormy days. It is finished off with a buckle collar for a snug fit.
The lining is finished in a blue cotton check in the hood and body, this is finished with a contrast cream corduroy back yoke and button pocket. The lining of the sleeves are made from a polyester airtex mesh.

About waxed cotton
Waxed cotton — the original performance fabric — is cotton which has been treated with a wax coating to produce a fabric which has water repellent properties. These waxes can be made from a number of sources — from paraffin and petroleum to natural waxes and innovative hybrid blends.
Waxes and oils are naturally occurring substances found in leaves, bean/seed coverings, animal furs and feathers. It is natures protection against the elements.
Waxed garments can be regularly reproofed to maintain performance for many years, making them uniquely sustainable. Many synthetic man-made fabrics end up in land fill once performance levels cannot be maintained through delamination.
